One of the newest songs I've written, also one of the last songs written in 2014. The arrangement of this song is shaky right now, there is a lot of odd timing changes with the guitar and as a result during the verses most of the other instruments are fighting to keep up with it. This may be adjusted in the near future.
lyrics
Inside this hollow shell
The void of voices
Silence is the language
No other life exists
Locked away with the memories
My sentence shall be carried out
Years upon years of dwelling
Here is no peace
Remembrance, of the past
The lack of strength - it never lasts
Banish me into my shell
These memories - my silent hell
Every night I lay awake
Pondering what one had been
Dwell upon my last mistake
My sentence had been given then
Unto me I brought this hell
Words of fury - unleashing self
No restraint, should I have taught
I ask myself, what hath God wrought?
Remembrance, of the past
The lack of strength - it never lasts
Banish me into my shell
These memories - my silent hell
Slumber eludes my tired eyes
Longing for sleep under these skies
Release me - rest for my weary cries
Remembrance, of the past
The lack of strength - it never lasts
Banish me into my shell
These memories - my silent hell
