The Cast Iron Bones EP, presented here in a newly remixed and complete form. The 2016 remix was a vision of what the EP could've sounded like, this version is what the original would have sounded like. All the extra embellishments from the 2016 version have been removed & the tracks have all been tailored to sound sonically from the same time.


• I remember when we originally sat down to record this we had decided upon recording all together in one room. We did the bass & drum tracks together with one microphone (a Shure Vocal Mic) and the guitar on it's own (using a standard performance vocal mic). We were completely on our own in terms of how to mix and mic things up properly, we learned the hard way when our first run through was completely decimated audially. We had set aside 1 hour to do the whole recording, including vocals, and when our first take was trashed we rushed to record the whole thing again in 30 minutes.

• Since we didn't have a studio we recorded in Bill's attic, so our time was limited - I believe this recording was done on a weekday and we started around 5:30/6pm and concluded around 8/8:30pm. We wrapped up, hung out after the vocals were finished, then went home and life went on. This recording went largely untouched after the initial mixing and was touched upon again when it was remixed in 2016, with only the songs that featured vocals.This time I set out to do the album Justice in it's full form and in a mix more fitting to what we would have done back when it was originally recorded.
